Key Scripture (Luke 1:26-31):   In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.

Today is like none other as things seem upside down. Not just with the Corona virus, but also with normal challenges of life. We are challenged to trust God in these uncertain times. 

Imagine being told you are pregnant without ever having been with anyone. That’s the situation Mary faced. Mary was perplexed but trusted in God

1. The Lord is with you. God is not a distant God ; He is there with you in the midst 

a. David trusted God, 

b. Gideon trusted to God, 

c. Abraham trusted God and The Lord provided a ram in the bush…

You must let your faith be bigger than your fears.

d. Rom. 8. 31 if God be for us…

e. Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous.. Be encouraged…

f. HOLD TO HIS HAND..GOD’S UNCHANGING HAND

g. God wants you to take His hand

No matter what it looks like, God will give your courage …God will reach out His hand

Job 19 :25-26 I know that my redeemer lives…

2. Do not be afraid 

a. Be encouraged…HOLD TO HIS HAND..GOD’S UNCHANGING HAND

b. God wants you to take His hand

c. Isaiah 43:1 

d. Fear paralyzes faith energizes

We must let your faith be bigger than your fears

3. You have found favor with God

a. To be in God’s favor means you are in Gods grace

i. God’s grace is 

b. God chose Mary to be the earthly mother of God

c. We are all in God grace but favor does not mean you will not face troubles in this lifetime.

d. Favor says that we have something that the world does not possess

e. We have favor when we walk in Faith

 But in the midst of trying circumstances we have Faith 

Hebrews 11:1-3                    

Be encouraged because God is in control I can rest in the fact that God is in control which means I can face things that are out of my control and not act out of control.
